KotoBuki Desktop & Mobile Websites

This assignment required me to take a hypothetical sushi restaurant and create a functioning prototype website that incorporated its visual identity, utilized best UI and UX practices, and followed modern web design trends. Additionally, I had to edit each raw photo in Photoshop to make it presentable and appealing. Completed in Adobe XD. The full websites can be viewed here:

This assignment required me to select a non-profit organization and research their visual identity system, manually trace their
logo(s), and compile recent news and visuals to assemble a hypothetical newsletter consistent with the organization’s visual style. Layout completed in Adobe Indesign.

Presentation Template

This is a template for a PowerPoint presentation. I aimed to play with colour while staying modern and sleek. Mocked up in Adobe Illustrator.

Smoking Infographic

This assignment required me to research a topic of my choice and use the information to create an infographic. The infographic had to align with visual trends in both modern infographics and the intended audience of its subject matter. The dimensions were fixed, so the design had to follow. Completed in Adobe illustrator.

TransLash Infographic

TransLash is a non-profit organization devoted to activism for the transgender community. Their content centers around elevating trans voices and stories, providing advice and resources, and keeping their audience up-to-date on latest news, including but not limited to events and politics. For an assignment, I used the Translash branding system and created an infographic to visualize various statistics related to trans communities in the United States that I found during my research. Completed in Adobe Illustrator.

The Black Feathers Tour Promotion

This client wanted a press release using the given text and image. Because it would be sent to dozens of news outlets, radio hosts, and venues, it had to be easily edited to change the concert details and include the links to the band’s socials and to purchase tickets. Additionally, they wanted a press release using the given text and image to advertise a recent interview. Completed in Adobe Indesign.

Five Guys Trifold Menu

This assignment required me to select a restaurant and convert an existing one-page menu board into an effective trifold menu. Layout completed in InDesign, logo trace completed in Illustrator.

The Honey Badgers Flier

This client wanted a poster with text, a color palette, graphical elements, and layout that encapsulated the earthy, folksy tone of the band. Additionally, they wanted all provided text and both provided photos included. Completed in Adobe Illustrator.

Shanna in a Dress Flier

This client requested a poster with text, a color palette, graphical elements, and layout that encapsulated the playful, lighthearted tone of the performer. Additionally, they wanted all three provided photos incorporated, all of which had drastically different dimensions. Given text was minimal, so other elements had to fill negative space. Completed in Adobe Illustrator.
